Hoover's Calicoflower (Downingia bella)

Hoover's calicoflower or Hoover's downingia (Downingia bella) is a California-endemic wildflower, which is specially adapted to the unique conditions presented by the vernal pool ecosystem. This calicoflower is less common than many other Downingia species.
