Maroonspot Calicoflower (Downingia concolor var. concolor)

The maroonspot calicoflower (Downingia concolor var. concolor) is a California-endemic annual herb only found in a handful of counties in the northern part of the state. Like other species of Downingia, this plant only grows in vernal pools and other drying wetlands.
