Disc gall wasp (Feron parmula)

The disc gall wasp (Feron parmula, previously Andricus parmula) induces tiny (up to 3mm), glossy, disc-shaped galls on the leaves of several white oak species. The galls are adorned with streaks of red and are raised slightly in the center, as well as along the periphery.
