Lamproderma scintillans
Lamproderma scintillans is a beautiful slime mold species recognized by its iridescent peridium, which sports sparkly blue, purple, or gold colors. As is the case with Comatricha nigra, its "head" or sporotheca is supported atop a skinny black (or dark brown) stalk. It is commonly found on leaf litter or living plants at low elevations.
