Beavertail Grass (Calochortus coeruleus)

Beavertail grass (Calochortus coeruleus) is a perennial herb which is endemic to certain montane regions of California. Its hairy petals and blue and purple tones make for a strikingly beautiful display. This gorgeous California native is also known as the blue star tulip, despite being a member of the lily family.
