Canyon Live Oak (Quercus chrysolepis)

Canyon live oak or canyon oak (Quercus chrysolepis) is an evergreen tree which is native to the western United States. Also known as golden cup oak or gold cup live oak, its distinctively thick acorn cupules are adorned with fine golden fibers which have a tendency to shed onto adjacent leaves.
