Common Fiddleneck (Amsinckia intermedia)

Common fiddleneck (Amsinckia intermedia) is a California-native annual herb known for its yellowish orange flowers that grow in an arched formation as the plant unfurls. This curved portion is somewhat reminiscent of the head of a fiddle, which accounts for the common name. It is also known as rancher's fiddleneck or intermediate fiddleneck, and some authors treat it as Amsinckia menziesii var. intermedia.
