Marin Checker Lily (Fritillaria lanceolata var. tristulis)

The Marin checker lily (Fritillaria lanceolata var. tristulis) is a rare and endangered California-native wildflower, which is endemic to the San Francisco Bay Area. It is similar in appearance to the widespread checker lily (Fritillaria affinis), but can be differentiated by its dark, blue-black flowers which are not nearly as "checkered."
