Dung Eyelash Cup (Cheilymenia fimicola)

The dung eyelash cup (Cheilymenia fimicola) is one of several orange cup fungi known for growing on the excrement of herbivorous animals. Different species can be identified by a close examination of their hairs, or more reliably, by microscopy. Scutellinia species are similar, but grow on wood.
