Rosy Slime Spike (Gomphidius subroseus)

The rosy slime spike (Gomphidius subroseus) is an attractive mushroom known for its pinkish red cap and white stalk with a yellow base (the yellow portion generally expands upward with age). As the common name implies, this mushroom is quite slimy when damp and fresh.
