Saffron Milkcap (Lactarius deliciosus)

The saffron milkcap (Lactarius deliciosus) is a complex of choice edible mushrooms which have a close association with pines. The true L. deliciosus only occurs in Europe, but this is the catchall name used for an unknown number of similar species in North America. Additional common names include red pine mushroom and orange latex milky.
