Snowbank Clitocybe (Clitocybe glacialis)

The snowbank clitocybe (Clitocybe glacialis) is one of several snowbank mushrooms that can only be found in high elevation habitats near snowmelt. When young and fresh, the fruiting bodies will display a powdery silver coating known as pruinescence - a feature that is common on many dragonflies!
