Western Yellow Mycena (Mycena oregonensis)

The western yellow mycena (Mycena oregonensis) is a diminutive mushroom recognized by its bright yellow color and tiny, powdery granules on its stipe. Despite the eye-catching color, this common treasure is often missed due to its small stature (usually less than an inch tall) and tendency to get lost in the forest duff.
