Yellow Fieldcap (Bolbitius titubans)

The yellow fieldcap (Bolbitius titubans) is a widespread mushroom known for its bright yellow cap with a viscid surface (when young or damp). With maturity, the cap flattens out and becomes mostly whitish, yet retains a yellow disc in the center. After these changes, the mushroom lives up to its other common name — sunny side up!
