Coral Gall Wasp (Burnettweldia corallina)

The coral gall wasp (Burnettweldia corallina, formerly Disholcaspis corallina) induces colorful treasures found not in the deep blue sea, but rather on the majestic blue oak (Quercus douglasii). Since blue oaks are endemic to California, so are these galls!
