Red Fold Gall Aphid (undescribed Aphididae)

The red fold gall aphid (undescribed Aphididae, common name by photographer) induces fold galls on the leaves of interior live oak (Quercus wislizeni), and possibly other plants. These galls are typically folded over the top of the leaf, and occasionally house inquiline moth larvae in addition to the aphid larvae. [Special thanks to prolific gall photographer Joyce Gross for clarification on this topic. However, any errors are purely my own.]
