Mottled Gray Carpet (Cladara limitaria)

The mottled gray carpet (Cladara limitaria), Hodges #7637, is a highly variable Geometer moth found throughout North America. It is very similar in appearance to the scribbler (Cladara atroliturata), and it has been suggested that they may in fact be the same species.
