Western Spotted Orbweaver (Neoscona oaxacensis)

The western spotted orbweaver (Neoscona oaxacensis) is a beautiful spider that is native to western North America. It has a longitudinal fovea (dorsal groove on its cephalothorax) and four pale yellow spots surrounded by black on the ventral side of its abdomen. N. arabesca is slightly smaller and generally less vibrant, though spider markings are notoriously variable.
