Banded Garden Spider (Argiope trifasciata)

The banded garden spider (Argiope trifasciata) is a large orbweaver found throughout North America and beyond. Like other Argiopes, its orb web is often adorned with beautiful stabilimenta (silk web decorations). Additional common names include banded Argiope and banded orb weaving spider.
